my first competition

Im about to enter the Australasian Fingernail Championships on the 23rd of November and would like any advice from anyone who has entered a comp before. I really wouldnt know the type of competition im up against. Do comp go-ers usually use a "comp fast set" acrylic? I just dont want to show up with it obvious that its my first time. Thanks for any replies.
