A recent FDA (Food and Drug Administration) warning has been issued, effective immediately, warning consumers about the risks that are associated with using the popular injected beauty treatments, Botox. Classified as outlined toxins types A and B for both FDA-approved and unapproved use. Basically the reports states that you are injecting your body with dangerous toxins to improve beauty, but do not pretend like there are not inherent and now known risks that go hand in hand with this popular treatment. The warning applies to all who intend or have used Botox, most importantly related to children and women, who are at the highest risk of contracting dangerous and adverse side effects after receiving these injections.

The Risks Associated with Using Botox

The risk: Death. Most people that suffered from a side effect were hospitalized and later released. But many children, treated with Botox for cerebral palsy-associated limb spasticity were at the greatest risk of dying. In addition, other recent FDA reports have also lambasted the popular facial injections for beauty, as more reports come in showing women who suffered from respiratory failure, or a variety of serious and sometimes mild side effects, including: cysts, infection, swelling, and others. Basically, the FDA was clear to state that no matter what you use these injections for, or how much, or how often, there is inherent associated risks. Period.

Never Let Beauty Come Before Health

Why, I must ponder, are people taking their lives into their own hands just to look better on the outside? Especially considering that using injections, like Botox, requires maintenance; it does not change anything for the long haul. So frequency over the years is required, placing those who do use it an even greater risk of suffering from a known and adverse side effect. But there are other, safer alternatives to injections.

Other, Safer Alternatives to Botox

The best alternatives that are currently available include over the counter wrinkle creams and eye creams. Newer wrinkle creams and eye creams have been clinically proven to increase skin firmness, eliminate the appearances of dark eye circles, wrinkles and others, and are entirely void of any side effects whatsoever. Furthermore, new wrinkle creams and eye creams work fast—typically within the first month of using them you will see genuine results. And, the best wrinkle creams and eye creams currently on the market cost far less than any facial injected treatment or dermal filler.

What Results You Can Expect with Alternative Treatments

Yes it is true, Botox can give you results a bit faster. But it’s more painful and intrusive and dangerous. The best wrinkle creams and eye creams currently on the market cost about eighty bucks per bottle, for a full month supply. The clinical test studies on many of these showed amazing results during the first four to six weeks of usage. And as usage increased, even greater results were realized. Case and point: never take your own life into your hands when it comes to beauty. Use safer, alternative treatments instead.
