The Scoop on Mixed Chicks
I'm not a "mixed chick," but most people think I am. Partially, because a lot of people who are bi-racial, or ethnic have a certain type of texture to their hair; one that is in the in-between stage of straight and kinky, which is curly, hard to maintain and harder to detangle.
Most salons don't know what to do with very curly hair and neither do the parents of children with a head full of wild swirls.
Me? I grew up tender-headed, meaning; I never wanted anyone to comb my hair. I would kick and scream until my hair became one big mess. As I grew up, I needed to find something to help maintain my hard to manage hair.
I've tried tons of products and I'm extremely picky. My tastes are for a light, fresh fragrant, detangler, that isn't sticky and I found it in Mixed Chicks--a hair product made with girls like me in mind.
Founders Wendi and Kim, grew up on each side of the coast and came together to form a company which met both of their needs. Mixed Chicks was an idea spanning from the lack of resources found in salons and beauty stores for hair that is undefined.
From their line of shampoos, leave-in or deep conditioners, women all over the world now have a product to call their own, plus they are reasonably priced so you will never have to break your pockets to look, or smell...good.
