I recently received a coupon for a free hair product from Suave Professionals for signing up for a promotion they had on Facebook. I went to the drugstore to see what my choices for my free product were and, low and behold, I found dry shampoo staring me in the face. I had always wanted to try this, but had only previously found it available from the very high-priced salon brands. I had to try it. How did it work?
I went home with my new toy just waiting for the next time I had greasy roots. To my surprise, the Suave dry shampoo had a great scent. It smells kind of like apples or some other type of fruit. The scent is actually very strong, even considering that I love a good-smelling hair product. I sprayed some around my hairline, then bent over sprayed the underside of my hair. I worked it in with my fingers like it said to on the bottle. The mystery ingredients absorbed almost all of the oil at my hair roots, and left my hair fuller than it is even after a fresh shampoo. I am now hooked. The only downside is that it does leave your hair with a bit of a matte finish. That is okay considering I would rather have matte roots than greasy ones.
The great thing is that, even at full price, this dry shampoo from the Suave Professionals line is under $3. That is considerably less expensive than the salon brands and well worth the price since it saves me time in the mornings when I don't have time to wash my hair. I cannot compare it to the salon brands, since I have never tried one, but I have heard that this works just as well.
